Privacy Policy

You provide: first name, email address, quiz and onboarding answers (goals, level, motivation), messages you send to support, and billing details handled by our payment providers.

Created by your use: lesson progress, XP, streaks, hearts, coins, achievements, settings, and chat transcripts with the AI tutor.

Voice and video: when you use speaking exercises or tutor calls, audio (and, for video calls, video) is processed to recognise speech and generate a response. We do not use your recordings to build voice profiles.

Technical: device and browser type, approximate region derived from IP, log and diagnostic data, and analytics about feature usage.

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.

To deliver and personalise lessons, keep your progress and streaks, run AI tutor features, process payments and subscriptions, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, measure and improve the Service, and send service or marketing emails you can unsubscribe from at any time.

Legal bases (where the GDPR applies): performance of our contract with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service and preventing abuse, your consent for optional marketing and non-essential analytics, and compliance with legal obligations.

Card and wallet payments are processed by third-party payment providers. We receive confirmation of payment, the plan purchased and limited billing metadata; we never store full card numbers.

We share data only with service providers acting on our instructions: hosting and database infrastructure, payment processing, email delivery, AI language, speech and avatar providers, analytics and error monitoring. Some of these providers operate outside your country; where required we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We do not sell personal data. We may disclose data where legally required or to protect our rights.

Account and progress data are kept while your account exists and for a reasonable period afterwards to handle disputes and legal obligations. Billing records are kept for the period required by tax law. Chat transcripts and diagnostic logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted or anonymised.

Depending on where you live, you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to hello@lexunera.app and we will respond within the period required by law. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

We use cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, remember your settings and progress, and measure usage. You can clear or block them in your browser, though parts of the Service may stop working.

We use access controls, encrypted connections and reputable infrastructure providers to protect your data. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure; please use a strong, unique password.

We may update this policy. The current version is always published on this page with the date above; material changes will be notified in-app or by email.
